Thank you for your interest in the OB TASK FORCE on HOMELESSNESS and making life better in Ocean Beach, for residents, for tourists, and for the unsheltered. Our goal is to focus on the Solutions to the many issues surrounding unsheltered people that our community so desperately need in 2026, ...with a sense of urgency, purpose and empathy.
Immediate Goal:
10% reduction in homeless count in 92107
(21 people - suggested goal from RTFHSD)
2026 Goals:
1. Have a comprehensive plan/system in place to offer services to unsheltered neighbors.
2. Establish a funding mechanism to provide those services, in partnership with other organizations/groups, in order to be able to disband the Task Force within 24 months. (Sept. 2027)
